Frequently Asked Questions

Colour Qs

  • Colour analysis identifies the colours that harmonise most with your natural features—your skin tone, eyes, and hair. Using professional drapes in natural light, we determine which seasonal palette makes you look brighter, healthier, and more balanced.

  • You may be familiar with the 4-season system used in the 80s, but the modern system has evolved into 16 seasons, offering a more refined, personalized, and accurate result.

  • In the standard 90-minute session, we will determine your undertone, season, and sub-season within the 16-season system, guide you to your best colours, show you your best metallics, pattern style, and provide makeup and hair recommendations with try-on options. We also offer a makeup bag audit to compare makeup you already own with your new palette.

In the 60-minute session (Jr. Stylist), we will determine your undertone, season, and sub-season within the 16-seasonal system, and show you your best colours, neutrals and metallics.

  • In the 90-minute premium session, you’ll receive a personalized digital colour palette to use when shopping, along with guidance on how to incorporate your best colours into your wardrobe. We also offer physical swatch wallets for +$97.

  • Colour analysis is for anyone who wants to look and feel more polished and confident in their appearance. Both women and men can benefit greatly from understanding their best colours. The best age to have your colours done is after puberty, as this will ensure you receive the most accurate reading for your adult features.

  • We use the modern 16-seasonal colour analysis system, which extends beyond the original four seasons to provide a more precise palette tailored to you.

  • Grey hair works beautifully with colour analysis. Your palette is determined primarily by your skin’s undertone, and grey hair often makes the right colours look even more striking.

  • Please arrive without makeup or self-tanner, so we can see your natural skin tone. Wearing a simple top with an open neckline is ideal.

  • Individual sessions provide a personalized, in-depth experience, while group sessions are a fun way to learn about colour with friends, and each person receives their own analysis. Not included in group sessions: makeup and hair try-ons.

Styling Qs

  • Most clients begin with a colour analysis + body analysis, as it creates the foundation for building a flattering wardrobe. From there, we discuss whether a closet audit or time shopping together would be beneficial for you.

  • During a closet audit, we review your existing wardrobe to identify what works, what doesn’t, and how to style pieces you already own. The goal is not to just throw things out, but to help you make better use of what you have and identify any gaps.

  • Personal shopping is a guided experience where we pre-select pieces that fit your colours, body shape, lifestyle, and goals. We spend the day together with a private fitting room, trying on pieces that feel right for you and help you invest in staples that will last.  It’s ideal for anyone who feels overwhelmed by shopping or wants to build a wardrobe more efficiently.

  • Absolutely—services can be tailored to your lifestyle, whether you need outfits for work, casual wear, special occasions, or change of season.

  • The goal is always to refine and elevate your personal style, not replace it with trends. We focus on pieces that reflect who you are while still feeling current and flattering.
